Solgar ® Folate (as Metafolin ®) 1000 µg, the body-ready form of folic acid is a B vitamin that contributes to several processes within the body including homocysteine metabolism, blood formation and reduces tiredness and fatigue.

This important B vitamin also regulates healthy homocysteine levels and contributes to energy levels and general wellbeing.

Homocysteine is an amino acid produced in the body by breaking down proteins we consume and animal-based protein in particular. Typically homocysteine should be converted into the amino acid methionine. This conversion requires folate.
